One More attempt under Old Course | CS Executive and CS Professional Old Course 2017 Extension
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced (13 June 2024) an additional attempt opportunity for students enrolled in the Executive and CS Professional Programme under the 2017 syllabus.
In a recent notification, ICSI Clarified that CS Executive and CD Professional Programme (2017 old syllabus) will be granted one more chance to appear for examinations during the December 2024 and June 2025 sessions respectively.
Many Students, Parents , Teacher and Social Media pages requested ICSI over Email and Social media for Extension of CS old course.
This decision comes as a relief for many students who might have faced challenges or missed previous attempts due to various reasons.
Additional Attempt: CS Executive Programme Students will have the opportunity to appear for exams in December 2024, while Professional Programme students can take exams in December 2024 and June 2025.
Switch to New Syllabus: It's important to note that all students under the old syllabus of 2017 will be mandatorly switched over to the new syllabus by December 2024 and June 2025 (Executive Programme) and (Professional Programme).
This means that after the additional attempt, students will transition to the new syllabus, and no further requests for extension will be entertained.
This decision by ICSI reflects their commitment to supporting students and ensuring they have opportunities to succeed in their CS journey. It acknowledges the challenges students may face and provides a solution to mitigate these challenges by offering an extra attempt under the old syllabus 2017.
