Realistic Preparation Advice from Someone Who Has Been There
You have probably heard many motivational speeches. Here is something more practical. The weeks between the date sheet release and the first exam are not for learning new chapters. They are for polishing what you already know. Make a simple plan based on the order of subjects.
For Executive Group 1, the sequence is Jurisprudence, then Capital Markets, then Company Law, then Economic Laws. Do a quick revision of each subject one day before its paper. For Group 2, you have a holiday on 25th December. Use that day to revise Tax Laws and Corporate Accounting formulas. Do not waste it.
For Professional students, the gaps between papers are longer. That is both a blessing and a risk. The risk is that you might feel lazy. The blessing is that you can deeply revise one subject at a time. On free days between 22nd and 24th December, focus only on the next paper. Do not try to cover both groups simultaneously.
The Morning of the Examination
Wake up at your usual time. Eat a light but filling breakfast. Avoid heavy, oily foods that can make you drowsy. Pack your bag the night before so that you are not rushing in the morning. Keep two extra pens, your admit card in a plastic sheet, and a small water bottle.
Leave home with at least 60 minutes of buffer time. Expect unexpected traffic or weather delays. Once you reach the centre, find your room and settle into your seat. Take three slow breaths. Read the question paper fully before starting. Divide the 180 minutes among the number of questions you need to attempt. Always leave the last 15 minutes for reading your answers and correcting small errors.
